TTTTuuuueeeessssddddaaaayyyy from Pinkadot Quilts


I seriously cannot keep track of the days, they are all swirling together. I am forgetting things because I am never sure what day it is......

I am going to try and applique the virus away. For some reason I am not called to be in my sewing room. I love this red and green together, it's a favorite combination of mine. The pink half square triangle pouch is a gift from my friend Stephanie.

Red and Green Applique from Pinkadot Quilts


I love red and green applique quilts. No matter what that will never change!
I have not done a big applique project in a long time. I am now making one with 9, 30" blocks for my bed. It will also have an applique border, she says with conviction! Let's see if that comes true.


I am using the freezer paper method, mostly because I want the circles and flowers to be exact. If they are not, it will drive me crazy. Usually I am not so worried but for this one I will be.

January Days from Pinkadot Quilts


The cold January days have arrived here. I don't mind winter because I love being home and working on inside projects. It also allows lots of cooking and baking which I don't like in the summer.
I'm trying to take a more "embrace the season" approach rather than wishing it away. Time is already going too fast. I want it to slow down.
I have always wanted to make a red and green quilt, especially applique. These blocks are giant, 30"! I am hoping to make 9.......let's hope that happens!
